Understanding and Calculating Rollover on SBX Bonus Offers
Breaking Down the Maths
Rollover is not always equal to the face value of your wager - it is tied to the RTP (Return to Player) of the game you wager on.
To save you some time crunching the numbers, we've broken it all down below!
Game RTP | Rollover % | Rollover Per $ Wagered | Spins to Rollover $100 ($10 stakes, 35x Rollover) |
---|---|---|---|
99% | 20% | $0.20 | 1750 spins |
98.5% | 30% | $0.30 | 1050 spins |
98% | 40% | $0.40 | 875 spins |
97.5% | 50% | $0.50 | 700 spins |
97% | 60% | $0.60 | 584 spins |
96.5% | 70% | $0.70 | 500 spins |
96% | 80% | $0.80 | 438 spins |
95.5% | 90% | $0.90 | 389 spins |
95% | 100% | $1.00 | 350 spins |
The Rollover does not round based on the RTP, it is always precise, so you can use the exact RTP of the game you are playing to calculate the Rollover %.
(100% - [RPT]) x 20 = Rollover %
Rollover % divided by 100 = Rollover Per $ Wagered
Rollover Per $ Wagered x Stake Wagered = Rollover Completed Per Play
So if you are playing a game with 97.50% RTP and wagering $5 on each spin, your breakdown would look like this:
(100% - 97.50) = 2.50 x 20 = 50% Rollover
50.00 / 100 = $0.50 Rollover Per $ Wagered
$0.50 x $5 = $2.50 Rollover Per Play
Working Backwards
While it's nice to know the Rollover per spin, it's a lot more useful to know how many spins you need to complete your rollover.
To find this figure you need to check:
What is the rollover requirement - different bonuses will have differing multiples of rollover required.
What is the RTP of the game you are playing - this is generally displayed below the game tile!
What is your stake per play - the maximum rollover allowed is $10 per play. Anything over this value will only count as $10.
Some of this info we already know, but let's break down the one we don't - Rollover Required!
Rollover Required = Value of Deposit x Rollover Multiplier (this will be listed on the bonus - default value is 25x)
So if your bonus is $100 and has a Rollover Multiplier of 25x the Rollover Required is $2500.
Using our established facts in the first example, we can calculate the spins required to find out how many spins we need to roll over $2500 playing $5 spins on a game with 97.50% RTP.
It looks like this:
Total Spins Needed = Rollover Required / Rollover Per Play (which was calculated above using the RTP and stake per play)
2500 / 2.50 = 1000 Spins
Important Note: This guide assumes that every bet you place wins. We do not punish you for losing bets - only your wagered amounts up to the turnover cap apply to the rollover based on the game RTP, but on a complete loss of the entire bonus amount, the withholding will be voided.
