Responsible Gaming FAQs
❓Isn't problem gaming just a financial problem?
No, problem gaming is a behavioral addiction that can have financial and other serious consequences. Even if an individual pays off their gaming debts, they may still face other issues caused by their gaming behavior.
🎲Do you have to wager often to be considered as someone affected by problem gaming?
The frequency of wagering is not a determinant of problem gaming. If a person's gaming behavior causes emotional, physical, financial, relationship, or other challenges for themselves or those around them, they are affected by problem gaming.
💰How much money do you have to lose before gaming is a problem?
The amount of money lost or won does not define when gaming becomes problematic. Problem gaming is a behavioral addiction that negatively affects finances as a direct consequence of the addiction. Financial problems are just one of many warning signs. Gaming becomes problematic when it impacts an individual's relationships, job, mental, physical, or financial well-being.
🚨Who is at risk for problem gaming?
Problem gaming can affect anyone who gambles, regardless of economic, social, cultural, or educational background. Certain factors, such as genetics, environment, medical history, and age, can increase the risk of developing a gaming addiction.
🛡️How can I protect myself from problem gaming?

Understand that gaming is entertainment, not a source of income.

📩What are responsible gaming interactions?
Responsible gaming interactions are communications in the form of emails or other interactions with SBX about the sustainability of your gaming. These interactions aim to promote healthy gaming activities, assist you in understanding the tools and resources available to manage your gaming activities, and typically include information about setting limits, recognizing signs of problem gaming, and accessing support resources.
