# How to Set Up an External Crypto Wallet

To bet with crypto on SBX, you’ll first need a secure **external wallet** to hold your digital funds. Think of it as your own crypto bank account - where you control the keys.

Here’s how to set one up safely and quickly:
# ✅ Step-by-Step: Setting Up a Crypto Wallet

### 1️⃣ Choose a Reputable Wallet Provider

There are two main types of wallets:

* **Software Wallets** (hot wallets): Convenient and easy to use
* **Hardware Wallets** (cold wallets): Best for long-term storage and added security
